The Ghostwriter

Your ghostwriter is a person in whom you place your full trust and confidence. During the process of contract negotiation and book development you will get to know them, but first you need to learn about their background and experience.

My name is Ken Davies. Before becoming a ghostwriter and development editor, I was an economist, writing, editing, and publishing books and reports for the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU, the research arm of The Economist Group), the OECD (Organisation for Economic Development and Co-operation), and the Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment at Columbia University. Unlike some ghostwriters who advertise online, I do not cite ghostwritten titles because all my ghostwriting to date is still covered by non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements, which I respect totally. You can be assured of the same watertight confidentiality when you engage me to write your book.

I have written and edited books in both American English and British English. I have used a number of different - all highly-regarded - style guides and have also contributed to house style guides. I have worked on manuscripts at all stages of production, from research to writing to developmental editing to copy editing and finally proofreading to produce camera-ready copy fit to print.

Having worked in different locations around the world (including London, Hong Kong, Paris, and New York), I have had the opportunity to develop rich relationships with a wide variety of people and to understand different languages, cultures, philosophies, and ways of life. This is a crucial advantage in ghostwriting, as it means you can be confident in my ability to empathize with you and see the world from your perspective, wherever you live and work.
